Everyone like the light. so, from the anciet time, darkness is treated as foes. Even small glowing lamp can light can take the darkness away from the huge room. In true sense, Tihar is the festival that leads us to light from the darkness. The festival of bright light that challenges the darkest night of new moon so this festival is also know as Deepwaali that literally means series of lights. Our every holy practice begins with lighting the lamps so in our culture it's obvious about the universal importance of this festival. This festival of light has a similar importance like start of spring. with this festival, the autumn season commence. So, with the wish of living hundreds of autumn this festival is celebrated.
