Labor pact between UAE and Nepal

An estimated 150,000 Nepalese are working in the UAE. Nepal Government and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a labor pact that will protect the rights of Nepalese working in the UAE. The pact makes the Nepalese laborers eligible to receive salary and benefits at par with workers of other countries, in addition giving them legal recognition and protection. This pact was signed between visiting UAE labor minister Dr Ali Bin Abdullah Al-Kaabi and Nepal's State Minister for Labour Ramesh Lekhak. It’s really a great news that hits the tabloid for whole month. And this was the first labour pact signed between a gulf country and Nepal. I really appreciate this memorandum of understanding that would ensure the safety, prevent them from being exploited, right to minimum wage and have legal rights. Year by year, day per day many Nepalese both skilled and non-skilled workers are moving to the gulf countries with the dreams of their golden future in their eyes. Though it can be viewed as brain drain or loss of production, or may not have any effect on gross domestic products but surely improved the country’s economy via remittance, the country which does not have its own industry to work. I was always against the working of people but there are no other alternatives. How long can people rely upon the same acres of land where as the family members and feeding mouths are constantly increasing. How long the country can bear the load of educated but unemployed population. The only way out of this landlocked country is gulf country, never been colonized by any other nations but always been workers for other country.

There’s lot to cry upon Nepal but still this pact has some impact to put on a smile in their face after years of their work over gulf country
