DOTS and Nepal

TB or Tuberculosis once that took some part of the world with its epidemic, now has been announced as preventable and curable. And health report says treatment of this disease has about 70% success rate in our country. and I exclaimed is it enough of control, in my view it is not. as the course of 8 months therapy a patient receives 5 different drugs in the direct observation of health worker according to their body weight. but due to negligence of health worker, or low efficacy of drugs, or irregularity of the patient turn this curable disease into more detrimental stage in which it is resistant to two of the five prescribed drugs, then it is known are XDR TB that is extremely drug resistant tuberculosis that is a major threat to the developing country like Nepal
