Doesn’t this make you happy?

When all the bright cities turned doom dark for some hours yesterday and I heard the pleasant news in one post today. The news that reavels the answer for my yesterday’s blog. The happy news was from some villages of rural region of Kaski district. The people from the Chomrong, and Taulung village are awareness of load shedding in the cities of Nepal. They truly get good facility of hydroelectricity and that cost even cheaper than price of Nepal Electrical Corporation setting a right implementation of rural technology in the most needs situation and location of Nepal. (They pay NRs1-3 per unit). The hydroelectricity is generated from the Ghattekhola; a river on the foothills of Annapurna, by deploying three micro-hydroelectricity plants. According to the local tourism committee Him Gurung, starting from 1999, two more micro-hydropower plant are installed on 2003, and 2005 having the capacity of 30KW, 14 KW and 25 KW respectively. The gross amount of NRs 10,000,000, NRs 3,000,000; and NRs 6,000,000 invested in these plants respectively, according to Mr. Purna Gurung; operator of the first project. He added for the 1st and 2nd project was aided by foreign donors where as third project is collected by cultural programs within those villages. Isn’t it wonderful example of community participation?
