I wonder what’s garbage? What are the things that are really needed to dispose? The things that you don’t need any more.
Obviously, at the first instance they are the things, which are of no use for us anymore. But think twice before discard anything. Another person or other organization may utilize it. Though substances like unwanted papers, plastics, glass bottles, irons and metals etc may workable for someone or some other communities. That’s why garbage should be defined as “wrong things in wrong place” or “ the things that we can’t make it functional. If viewed as the unrecognized resources garbage is not that big problem. But it’s management being the greatest challenge. Garbage is usually viewed as unwanted and disposable materials and garbage management is not our duty; these perspectives made municipal garbage management the real hard job.

How to?
Garbage management deals with minimization of garbage and hazardous impacts due to garbage; which can be done by two ways
a) Reduce the quantity
b) Reduce the hazardous impacts
A} My Four Rs to Really reduce the quantity
1. Refuse the use of non-biodegradable substance
2. Reduce it, if can’t
3. Reuse, most of the substances can be reused
4. Recycle it into raw materials
B} to reduce the hazardous impacts
1. Proper collection
2. Treatment
3. Safe disposal

Proof of lies: the movie

Amanda Detmar,(Christine Hartley) played the role as a genetics wizard who discovers the gene sequence that is responsible for addictive behavior of individuals and awarded millions of dollars for her further research in that scientific work. Christine is married to a lawyer, Jonathan Scarfe, (Chuck Hartley), who was her classmate from high school. one day on the get-together of high school, they meet their old mate Jonathan Scarfe (sam buckner), criminal novel writer. Then the story turns ironically, Christine was planning to deposit that money in trust, which goes to the Chuck if something happened to Christine. One day while she was working late in her lab, a man with mask attacked her. Then investigation begins she can doubt to anybody but next day bush near by her office she saw the same mask and some hair on it. Then her real study comes into play, she the perform western blotting and electrophoresis to that piece of hair and her husband’s hair the sequence was matched 100%. The way she performs is so well shown that she actually looks like student of genetics. I was interested just by promos of that film as I like that subject. The story turns in a certain way that audience will be spellbound for whole one and half hour. This drama/ thriller movie is really mysterious and if I write all the story then who will see that movie and ask everybody to find the real culprit who tried to kill her. Enjoy the movie.

Blogspot VS Kathmandu

Blogspot: The place where you are allowed to have your say, and have worldwide reader if they want to read. Time is mine, and time is money. Pour your thoughts and be relieved. All I want to be a just another blogger in town: talking bout his views with different perspective welcome all kind of positive and negative comments. Inspired by my fellow blogger I initiate this step and I found it very wonderful. In this era of cyber technology, it is the means of spreading your thoughts, vision, and views; and I know I missed the earlier train. Now, I am consoling myself better to be late than never. I hope that my blog won't clog pipeline of this cyber world, being Nepali and borne in city of art Lalitpur and brought up in city of temple, I regard myself very fortunate as i got many more opportunities and facilities which millions of nepali is deprived of.

KATHMANDU: A place of Opportunities for valley outsiders and 76ers. If you're not Nepali for your kind information KATHMANDU is the capital city of NEPAL. And heard that some years back it is announced as metropolitan city, but being citizen of here, I don't think that government has done anything like that to make it up to the standard of any metropolis. The list of problem of Katmandu goes on as ever increasing immigrants though it may be national or international, Within these last decades, it has observed high volume of population increment giving rise to list of problem in kathmandu, from water supply to transportation. The rising numbers of vehicles are the main cause for this urban temperature arousal in this Shangri-La. In Kathmandu, people supply more, consume more, pollute more, and think of solution lesser. So, I want to suggest all the valley outsiders to think about it, love it or leave it.

Starting of my sleepless nights

I never felt like sleeping during the nights and I am the one who’s responsible of all these as I am working nightshift during my medical transcription. And I really love those moment, tireless and sleepless night when my eyes were staring at computer monitor, my finger were running along the keyboard and my ears were busy listening the misheard lyrics dictated by the foreign doctors whom I don’t know and never seen or heard of him but still busy translating those words spoken by them. Really missed those days, no matter how hard to translate but my brain cells were so active at that moment, the job that requires accuracy, precision and foremost this is concentration. Been addicted to the caffeine and nicotine since that time which was good for me than puffing brown sugar. The job that is perfectly match to rehabilitate myself as I lost my bad company during the day and slept whole day keeping them at bay. And utilizing my vocabulary of medical terminology, I was appeared in MBBS exam three times. That cubicle wehre I work is the place I spill all those frustration into the fruitfulness. The part of life still good enough to reminiscence and one of the reasons for my being insomniac, now that I find myself in this sleepless night, I thank god that being insomniac than being maniac in other mental cases

Sithi Nakha: The end of feast in Newari culture.

The day also observed as the birthday of son of Mahadev and Parvati; worshipped as warrior god. This day is regarded as end of Newar festivals for that particular year. This day is celebrated on Sasthi (sixth day after the full moon at the end of summer). It is believed that on this day, we bid farewell to summer and welcome the rainy season. The Kathmandu being the agricultural territory, the feast and festival has some seasonal impact on the valley.
After worshipping and praying the ancestral god, each Newar clan concludes their feast for that year and commences their work in paddy field. As we walk down to the history, on this very day the cleaning of well, pond and stone spout is performed, there’s religious belief that if those water resources are not clean in that very day there will be scarcity of water for whole year and scientific ground to prove this fact that this festival is celebrated at the beginning of the rainy season, and water collected needs to be drained properly and irrigated to the paddy field. That is why on the occasion of Sithi Nakha, houses, baha: (courtyard), side streets and gallies (allies) are cleaned and and made sure that canal is guarded for its continuous flow for irrigation in paddy field. This system of guarding of water canal is popularly known as Dhalapa: in which clogging and blockage of canal is checked; this system is still observed in Newar society of various part of Kathmandu valley.

My mis-education towards Buddhism

When I was in my high school days, I once went through the sentence that Buddhism is the religion aroused from the northern part of India. I didn’t like that at that moment because I hated India (I’ve already read many stories in my childhood). He was born in as the royal prince of Suddhodhana and Mayadevi who ruled wisely acclaiming the heart of people belonging to Shakya clans, in the city of Kapilvastu, the beautiful city on the foothills of Himalayas. Yeah Nepal lies in the northern part of India but that’s not how you define school-going children book. Does it refers that Nepal is northern part of India, Can’t agree at all, I really feel offense if it is like so. But writers are wrong then and now. Kapilvastu lies not only north to India but also to east and west. Shrinking our political boundaries and engulfing the Sikkim and Gadwal doesn’t make Nepal another state (Mind It). And for more kind information, Buddhism is not religion………..it’s a vision aiming towards the purity of mind (my one surely not pure). Man!!!!!!!!! God damn it. Buddha life’s many auspicious days are spent most part of India and you guys didn’t referred any book to try to know that. Religions divide people but teachings of Buddha converge; converging into one religion that’s humanity; giving us the vision why and how you are in the earth at first place. We are here for a reason not for the wars in the name of religion. Haven’t read many but none of the holy epics command us to kill other human or any forms of lives. But don’t say it religion, it’s just the teaching from the prince-turned-sage named Gautama Buddha who rediscovered the knowledge of Vipassana (the meditation) and spread this to half of the globe more than twenty-five hundreds year ago without any advertisement. Gautama is the one who was against worshipping carved sculpture of deity have the most number stone carved, metal carved, and clay statue in 21st century. He is the enlightened one, blessed one visited on earth in this era just for human welfare.

These are the first two lines from the poem leisure written by William Henry Davies. You guys may why? This is the poem we have to study when we’re in grade 9. We have to cram the whole poet and recite in front of the class. The teacher was Dikendra Rai who was alcoholic and later heard that he died. I am so weak in cramming things, as I like the subjects like trigonometry, physics and chemistry. It was my first experience to stand infront of classroom, actually I used to be shy guy during my schooling, I manage to memorize the whole poem but when I stood in front of class I was so nervous that I forgot the poet’s name and the style which our teacher asked to recite us. Then I asked him if I can try later. He slapped me so hard and said next time if couldn’t do it he won’t slap he would punch. But later in the class too, I couldn’t recite that poem. And he punished me during the assembly. And asked me to write 5 poems in English, which I did it because I love rhyme during my kindergarten, that helped me a lot. Still today poem dreads me still I love to write one. And I know by now whatever we’ve studied never went in vain whether it’s poem or rhyme. Just singing my way along.

Royal Massacre: Black day in the history of Nepal

On June 2, 2001 on the normal morning, phone of our home rang, and caller id showed it was from Dubai; my big brother was on the other side of phone and he asked with perplexed voice “ is it sure that our king was dead?” My mother was puzzled and he woke me up and said “Saten, our king was dead with his family” I can believe what I’ve heard I turned the TV on and switched to the BBC news, the massacre of Royal family of Nepal (The breaking news) along with Bomb blast in one of the restaurant in Tel Aviv. I got so shocked the people were flocking to the streets of Kathmandu. Who did it? Why? Hundreds of questioned were raised and left unanswered for 3 days. It was said that Crown Prince Dipendra did because of dispute over the marriage. He shot his father, mother, sister, brother along with eight other. Unbelievable !!! so friendly…… so respectful ……… the Crown Prince gun fired the whole family. The whole situation was so dramatized that speaker of House of Representative turned speechless when question were fired by reporters and he appeared like kindergarten kid in front of the whole press. The situation was explained by Dr. Rajiv Shahi (so-called eye-witness). According to him, the automatic gun was fired by drunkPrince, killing all the attendants of dinner besides him. (Must have been magic). The king Birendra and the queen Aishwarya was declared dead, and crown prince was in coma for three days and announced as the next king. The mourners turned into the mob; shouting the slogan against the newly reigned king Gyanendra, who was said to be at Pokhara since no successor was left. No investigation was performed and we got our new king from back door of Royal palace. Since then it’s never been a monarchy, it turned into anarchy in Nepal.

In 1981, the population of Nepal was 15 million, in 1991, it reached to 18.5 million and in 2001, it scaled to 23.1 million with an annual growth rate of 2.25 percent. The country like Nepal, where infrastructure of development is uneven, so is the geographic distribution of population. The 7.3 % of population resides in Mountainous region, 44.3 % in hill and 48.4 % in Terai region.
There is and increment in population and its concentration is high in urban areas (municipalities). The number of municipalities also increased from 33 to 36 and by 2001 it reached to 58 with population density of 157 persons per sq. km. This rate of blasting growth of population posed varieties of threats including endemics of tuberculosis. Less than 40% of population is out of reach from the essential health services. The consciousness about using contraceptives and family planning is daydreaming for large volume of population. The way it is projecting it will be doubled in 2012 including all the demographic parameters.
The government is not showing any response to these things, the government itself is increasing its population in cabinet that increased from 205 seats to 312 seats as recommended by new constitution. I wonder the member of house is quite inspired by the population growth rate of Nepal. But I wonder, will the cultivable land of Nepal can meet the consumption of people, or this country heading to starvation though 70% of people rely on agriculture?. Are we ready to be Somalia of Asia?

I was happy to see that young cadre of YCL (sister organization of Nepal communist party (Maoist)) cleaning the roadsides and wonder what if all the youth of Nepal be the part of it. But the intimidation, vandalism, hostility and looting continues as if they don’t know the meaning of hard work. Cleaning the roadside with dirt in their heart doesn’t prove that they are up to the creation of neo-Nepal. The crime still continues no matter how hard they advocate for the peace and democracy. It’s the rule that war is never ended up with the peace. The blood they shed, the abduction they had done do not reveal that they are upto good thing, rather the extreme action they had posed in civilian is not viewed as deeds to be appreciate. No matter how hard they fight, the leader of their party is not different than previous one. They are after the seat in parliament just as every leader. I am not a person who speaks for other parties in country, I am just a civilian who wants to live the life as I want to, like to roam in any part of country. But it’s my fate that I can’t walk the way I want to walk, I am not allowed to talk what I want to speak. Though they shout they’ve freed us from the dictatorship of the shah dynasty, but still dictatorship rules in the heart of Kathmandu, I am saying this because I was not allowed inside the funeral ceremony of my friend’s mother while they are having cremation of their cadres. The way they yelled at me, make me to have my say in this cyber world. Just want to tell those cadres of YCL that I am just ordinary person doesn’t compel me to be against them. I want to remind them that did their leader speak a sentence about the sacrifices their youths had done during the 12-year-long People’s war or breathe the word of condolence when they have signed the document of compromise.
