7. When grown in Mac Conkey , Group D Strep gives pink colour coloney

9. Indicator of water pollution with faecal matter.

Streptococcus faecalis, S. hominis

α hemolysis : green tinge, Streptococcu dysgalacti, Streptococcus pneumoniae

β hemolysis: clear zone, Streptoccus pyogens, Streptocuccus agalacti

∞ hemolysis: non hemolytic, Streptococcus faecalis, S. hominis
